personal spirtual awareness

Spiritual awareness is communicating with God at a personal level and learning about His goal for you in life. It is having an open heart and an open mind in the spiritual aspect of life that makes you fully aware.

Human beings are complicated, every one of us is unique, with different backgrounds and personalities. But concerning how God created us, we are the same. The Bible tells us that we were all created with three basic parts: a spirit, a soul, and a body. 1st Thessalonians 5:23 says “And the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” This simple diagram below illustrates these parts, showing the body as our outer part which can be seen, the soul as our inward part and our spirit as our innermost hidden part.

Collins English Dictionary defines the body as all physical parts, including the head, arms, and legs. Synonyms of the body include physique, build, form, and figure.

Dr. Myles Munroe defines the soul as the connection between the body (the physical/earth you) and your spirit, (spiritual/God nature).

It is the very breath of God breathed into mankind at the beginning (Genesis 2:7). The Bible describes the Holy Spirit as being God’s invisible power or influence.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a strategy as a careful plan or method. It is a method or plan chosen to bring about a desired future, such as the achievement of a goal or solution to a problem. The goal of ‘strategy’ is the pursuit of sustainable competitive advantage.

God gave most of us five senses, the sense of touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste. The Holy Spirit is like a very “special sense” that God gives to faithful Christians to help them make good decisions like helping others, being honest, and understanding the Bible, just to name a few.

Jesus describes the Holy Spirit as a ‘helper’. John 14:26 says, “The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you.”

Jesus has been acclaimed as the greatest religious leader who ever lived, as being the most influential person to have lived on our planet, and as being unique to the degree that no one can be compared to Him. The real test of what one thinks of Him must revolve around who He claimed to be and what He accomplished during His brief mission to our planet. Our conclusion must be that there is no Christianity without Christ; all centres in Him.

Spiritual rebirth refers to the new life a person finds when he or she becomes a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. This concept is also referred to as ‘salvation,’ ‘regeneration,’ or being ‘born again.

renewing the mind

Romans 12:2 instructs us to, “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (KJV).

church & fellowship

You may have gotten used to thinking of the church as a building or a place where you go. But God’s word talks about the church as a gathering, a people you belong to. The word “church” is used in the Bible in three different ways; the universal church refers to all the people who were, are and will ever be followers of Jesus, the city or regional church refers to all the people who follow Jesus and live in or around a certain area of the world and the church at home refers to all the people who follow Jesus and meet where one or more of them live. Churches are spiritual families with Jesus as their centre and their king. They are spiritual families who love God, love others, and make disciples.

Eternity means time without end, or infinity, like people who promise to love one another for eternity, they are not planning to ever split up. It is a complex idea that relates to how people understand God and their place in the universe.
