Few people understand their identities, some simply internalize the values of their parents or the dominant cultures (e.g., pursuit of materialism, power, and appearance). I belong to this category before I came to this class! These values does not aligned with my authentic self and does not give room to a fulfilling life. Going thru this classes has helped me to recapture my real identity and I no longer live to please or struggle to meet up, I have discovered my song which is my true Identity, starting from who I am, what is my name and why the name was given, I came to the realization of my being.
