IDENTITY FOR young adults

This social component of age identity is particularly powerful, and research shows that self-conceptions of age are better predictors of psychological and physical functioning than chronological age.

PRE-BIRTH STORY

Before the birth of every child, certain happenings, events, occasions, information, premonitions, messages, and signs precede the birth. These factors sometimes determine the name a child is given by the parents or chart the course for the child’s future or perceived destiny.

BIRTH STORY

Everyone has a birth story and every birth story is different. Giving birth can be one of life’s most intense experiences. Childbirth is a physical feat, but there is also the emotional aspect of staring into your baby’s eyes for the very first time. Like many experiences, with time, the details of our birth can fade and our memories shape lift. Writing our birth stories down is a powerful way to preserve the story of our birth for us and our kids. There is no right or wrong length or amount of detail, write what matters to you.

CHILDHOOD STORY

Everyone has passed through these stages and each one has different stories or memories peculiar to their childhood. Various childhood factors could affect a person’s attitude formation and identity. The geographies of childhood involve how society perceives the idea of childhood, the many ways adult attitudes and behaviours affect children’s lives.

WHAT IS YOUR NAME?

The best one is the one he acquires for himself.

YOUR GREATEST FEAR

The bigger question is, how do you cope with them? Knowing how to cope with fear spells the difference in your ability to have a productive life or not. At times, your greatest fear defines the kind of life you will lead, other times it defeats you and makes you feel so small that it pushes you to inactivity.

WHAT EXCITES YOU?

The Cambridge English Dictionary defines the verb ‘excite’ to make someone have strong feelings of happiness and enthusiasm. In the same vein, the Merriam-Webster Dictionary referred to it as “Call to activity; to rouse to an emotional response; or to arouse (something, such as a strong emotional response) by appropriate stimuli”. Whichever way we look at it, Happiness is an attitude, the power of positive thinking, positive attitude, optimism, pessimism or negativity is well known. When was the last time you took inventory on your happiness?

BOOK STUDY

It is a way of building experiences of the world by helping us to see and understand things which have never happened to us firsthand. Book studies also help us in building on our experiences to increase our knowledge of the unknown and enabling us to witness and attempt to understand things from new vantage points.
